For the well-being of residents, The Glen at Scripps Ranch strives to follow CDC guidance and comply with recommendations from state and local health officials. Offerings depicted are subject to change.

Fall is in full swing and, though it’s hard to believe now, cooler weather will soon be upon us. At The Glen at Scripps Ranch, residents are making the transition in good spirits, living in a socially-oriented environment, surrounded by a team of employees who are dedicated to keeping the entire community healthy and safe.

While adhering to CDC and local government guidelines, we’ve flexed our ingenuity and made adjustments to everyone’s favorite activities and amenities. Here are some examples of how our residents continue to live life at The Glen during these ever-changing times:

Expanded dining: Our Food and Beverage team has designed new outdoor spaces for both alfresco and indoor dining. These worry-free environments allow our residents to enjoy the many pleasures of restaurant-style dining while overlooking our beautiful gardens and fountains. Those who prefer to eat at home can have delicious, chef-inspired meals delivered right to their door.

Indoors has moved outdoors: Taking advantage of Southern California’s year-round climate, we’ve moved many services and events into the open air. Ceramics and art classes, musical and other cultural events help our residents carry on with a sense of normalcy in spite of the pandemic. We recently reopened our gym with strictly limited capacity and reservations required. Our hair salon has also opened with limited capacity and appointments are required.

Abundant opportunities to stay active: Our 53-acre campus affords residents the opportunity to enjoy socially distanced walks and bike rides. They swim, play tennis, pickleball and bocce ball, or participate in outdoor cardio. For those who prefer the safety of the indoors, we offer small group fitness classes as well as on our in-house channel, along with concerts, lectures, Zoom clubs, and other programming.

During the pandemic, residents of The Glen have found it easy to remain social while social distancing. They’ve stayed active with tennis and pickleball, bocce ball, bike riding, hiking and swimming, even a balcony fitness program. Our innovative staff has moved most indoor activities and classes out into the open space, surrounded by The Glen’s stunning architecture, gardens and fountains, mountain views, and California sunshine.

We will keep you informed of changes to our health and safety precautions as they occur. We know how difficult COVID-19 restrictions are on everyone, but we greatly appreciate your understanding and continuing cooperation. Our goal is to protect every precious individual in The Glen community and to bring our families together again as soon as it is safe to do so.

As a final reminder, don’t give up! Keep practicing what we have all been asked to do:

  • Social Distance – Remain a minimum of six feet away from others
  • Wear Masks – When properly worn, face coverings are highly effective
  • Cover Your Coughs and Sneezes – Dispose of tissues immediately
  • Wash Your Hands – Use soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds
  • Avoid Touching Your Face
